This course includes segments of anatomy and physiology. By understanding how the body works you can better understand what is needed during traumatic situations, and environmental and medical emergencies. We break up our class time with tons of scenarios, labs and night rescue simulations. We can tailor this course to fit the needs of your Outdoor Programs.

Wilderness First Responder Hybrid

The WFR Hybrid course is designed to maximize your time while learning the basics of the material. After the online portion is complete, sign up for the hands-on course work to dial in the skills and techniques required to lead, guide or explore this incredible planet we live on. This course exceeds the 2016 Established Minimum Guidelines and Scope of Practice for Wilderness First Responder.

Wilderness First Responder Hybrid

All applicants must register at least 2 weeks prior to the in-person course date to receive access to material and complete the required online course work. It is recommended when possible, you should allow 6 weeks for the e-learning module; this is considered ideal. You are encouraged to register and begin online course work in advance of required deadlines. All applicants must complete the online learning portion in order to attend the in-person sessions.

  Certification requirements include completion of all portions of the class, passing the final written exam (>70%), and submission of all additional materials, including SOAP notes and completion of practical skills.
